Groendal Library, Community Centre and Radio Station

This is a fantastic project to be involved in. The EQUAL EDUCATION’S campaign for school libraries have developed the 80m2 library. I was approached to prepare some ideas for a local community who are in dyer need of a library but also a community centre. So working with a simple modular grid over the library and using it to expand the core. The beauty of the proposal is that the library can be built / installed / delivered straight away and the rest hopefully can be clipped in later. The thought of the modules being built off site would be ideal and then delivered to site, however the module can also act as a guide to build with traditional building materials. If implemented correctly with buy-in from the community everyone could gain / learn / construct.
