You’ve Seen the Pictures now See the Plans

long light filled plan

By great demand, well one request, here are the plans of my house. The ground floor is one long open space from end to end, we love being in the space its beautiful and full of light. The space is versatile and functions can be swapped around as well as the furniture. The Study converts to a small self contained Guest Room with its own en-suite shower room. The Dining Room is a double height space with the upper level acting as a gallery space for our one piece of artwork. The utility is neatly tucked away behind the kitchen to hide all the unwanted “stuff”.

compact first floor

The first floor is a compact layout consisting of 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom is more generous, obviously, with several nice simple touches. We provided light switches on the side of the bed so you don’t have to get up again once you have settled snugly into bed. We also have a low level 4m wide slot window which only comes into its own when your in bed.

Site Art

I love this picture. I love “arty” pictures of progress on site. Sven from Edith Stephens was good enough to stand in as our official photographer during our team building exercise. I often think, with a little more time and a good eye you could put together a photography exhibition if you could get 20 pictures as good as this. Sounds like a good idea.

Community Link

I was approached some time ago to prepare an idea for “enhancing” a nearby community centre which was once the Bowling Club. It seemed to me that a link with the adjacent Mainstream Shopping Centre could be used as a conduit to siphon the public into the community centre which is also the home for some local entrepreneurs. There is also a local Sunday market which draws many people. I need to make contact with the centre and see where the idea went and can it be resurrected.
